In June, we won the first place of the Münchner Businessplan Wettbewerb against a total number of 94 strong competitors. We are very happy about the first place, that shows we are on the right track building a successful company.
At the end of June Kumovis exhibited at the trade fair 3D Tage in St. Georgen organized by the contract manufacturer 3D-Labs. Together with our cooperation partner Max Petek Reinraumtechnik, we presented the Concept Clean AM, which embodies the vision of a complete system for a decentralized clean room production.
We presented Kumovis in front of a selected audience of the startup scene at the closing event Xhibition of the incubation program Xpreneurs. We thank for 3 eventful months with Xpreneurs, from which we could draw many new insights and contacts.
For the 20th anniversary of the nationwide business plan competition Science4Life Kumovis was able to prevail with a strong second place against 80 competitors. We are very happy about the award and congratulate all other winning teams.
At the beginning of June, Kumovis exhibited for the first time at the 3D printing fair Rapid.Tech as part of the startup award. We could not only present our startup but also achieved the third place in the Startup Award.
We would like to thank all sponsors and interested parties for a very successful trade fair.

We were in Switzerland at the beginning of march and presented our printer at the AM Expo in Lucerne to a very interested audience.
Furthermore our business idea was awarded within the Munich businessplan competition this month. In the first round Kumovis was one of 10 winners out of 144 applications.
At Formnext 2017 in Frankfurt in November, Kumovis presented the PEEK printer to the public for the first time. In January 2018 at the Arab Health in Dubai, the prototype of the TPE printer was shown. We were able to hold many exciting and interesting discussions at our first trade fairs and so we are starting the year 2018 with a lot of input and motivation.
In 2015 we needed a small series of PEEK samples ourselves and could not find a satisfactory solution on the market. Thus we started with developing our own PEEK-printer. Being pushed with great feedback on the "3D Tage" in St. Georgen, we continued to improve our product and our business plan. Since April 2017 we are funded by EXIST grant of research and are now able to work full-time on our aim to launch our printer in 2018.
